Utility-backed energy upgrades for Arizona commercial facilities
Now hiring · Tucson, Arizona
Sell a product the utility helps pay for, with a team behind you. We’re looking for 1–2 sales professionals to build our energy efficiency business in Tucson.
Tucson is our priority market right now because TEP’s utility programs are currently the most open in Arizona for commercial projects like ours. You’ll be the first e2o reps dedicated to this territory, working on your own schedule.
You bring the prospecting, relationships and follow-through. Our technical team handles equipment evaluations, savings analysis and proposals. Our sister company, e2o Mechanical, handles installation, commissioning and ongoing service.
Advanced Rooftop Controls (ARC) and energy management help existing rooftop HVAC units run more efficiently without replacing them. Solutions include variable-speed fan controls, outside-air cooling and energy management systems for scheduling. Projects typically cut monthly energy costs 8–10%.
Because the utility pays a large share of the cost, customers get a project they could rarely fund on their own. The numbers are real:

$208,000 project with an estimated payback of about 19 months. A rep who sourced it would have earned about $20,800.
Historical results; payback periods are estimates. Incentives depend on eligibility, available program funding and utility approval. Commission amounts are illustrative examples, not earnings guarantees.
Your job is to open the door and guide the conversation. You don’t need to engineer the project. Customers include churches, schools, gyms, self-storage facilities and other commercial properties. You’ll work with owners, property managers, facility directors and organizational leaders.
Projects average about $50,000. Some close within two weeks of the first meeting; others take 2–3 months.
This is a commission-only, 1099 independent contractor role.
| Lead source | Commission | Example: average $50,000 project |
|---|---|---|
| You find the lead | 10% of e2o’s project price | $5,000 |
| e2o provides the lead | 5% of e2o’s project price | $2,500 |
Sell above our price, keep half the difference. Sell a project priced at $80,000 for $100,000, and you earn an extra $10,000 on top of your commission.
Get paid fast. Half your commission is paid at signing and half when installation is complete. You never wait for the utility to pay.
Dollar figures are examples to show how the plan works, not a promise of earnings.
This role fits a self-starter who has found and closed their own B2B deals and is comfortable earning on results.
Experience in commercial HVAC, controls, solar, energy efficiency, roofing, facility services, LED lighting or office equipment is a plus. So is selling to churches, schools or nonprofits. HVAC expertise is helpful but not required; we’ll train you on the product.
